HELP with 4.9l I6 Clutch Linkage
#11
Well what ended up happening is we went to the stealership.......they wanted $240 for it!!! I knew I could definitely do better. I went to the local junk yard and after looking around for a manual still with the peadal box in it I found the only on in the whole yard. It took me about 45 min. to get it out because I basically had to curl up in a ball since the truck was so close to the car next to us I tried to kick the door open but the hinges were so messed up. (And i probably couldnt do it anyway ) After we got it out I looked at it and took it home with an extra air vent I found for $40 dollars. I went home and got a wire brush on the pretty rusty part. Got it cleaned up pretty good, I was just glad it was all only surface rust.
Then I taped off the old bushing (Even though I have new ones I am going to put on), then took a old coat hanger made out of brass raised it up and put a bun-gee cord on it to make my own paint hanger I then coated it with some rustoleum protectant. Looks brand new!
