Default Help

I have a 1989 f150 302 5speed. When im driving it drives fine as long as my foot is on the gas. Wen i put it in nutral and press the break to come to a stop or wen i leave it in gear and come to a stop it dies. It starts to idel rough and then if i dont give it gas it dies. It always starts back up. I put a new iac and retimed it. It still happens. Its worse when im low on gass. Help

Have the fuel pressure checked and check for vacuum leaks. Use some carb cleaner and spray on the vac lines and around the throttle body gasket. If the idle changes you have an idea where the leak is.

You checked the timing, or changed the timing?

Did your remove the SPOUT connector when checking/changeing?

Warm idle "has" to be at 675rpm for your engine w/ manual trans to see/ adjust base time accurately , or what you see or set to won't be completely accurate.

Possibility. 89 is EFI. An error code scan would tell him.
