I need a diagram for the charging system! everytime i try and hook up my alt. it fries the voltage regulator.somethings bckwds or shorting out somehow. so,.....heeeellllpppp!!!!!

Ok this may sound like a stupid thing to check...but make sure your battery cables are on correctly. No I'm not kidding...happened on a loader we bought. I dont have a clue how the starter even worked but it sure fried the alt.
