Default Heater Core

Well my heater core but the dust on me on my way to work today, steamed up the windshield and passenger window along with nearly asphyxiating me in the process. So I'll be tearing into it tomorrow. I know how to do it and I've done it on these truck before, though never my own. In the other cases the owners wanted the cheapest replacement. I prefer quality, so does anybody have any preference as to what company makes the best quality replacement? I've heard NAPA is the best from some, and Advanced from others.

I got mine from Autozone when I first bought my truck and have had no problems in 5 to 6 years. I wonder how much Ford would want for one since it probably lasted 20 years.

Oreilly Auto Parts sells 2 brands. Can't tell you what they are. One is $24.99 and the other is in the $70 range. Needless to say, I bought the $24.99 brand two years ago in both my trucks and they're both flawless. You can look them up on orielly's web site.

Even with an expensive name brand, sometimes I'll get one and the pipes are still bent wrong.

Ended up going with Autozone simply because of my rewards card. Easy job just like I figured, only problem was the damn rubber **** they sprayed over the hose ends an clamps under the hood. It was about hardened into stone, I tried chiseling it off but ended up busting out the propane torch
