so you're gonna spend money for sound rather than performance?

A loss in mid-torque is a huge loss.

Also, my flowtech headers were junk. I hated how low they hung, you could see everything under the truck by looking at it from the side

The one i have now is not. When i get ready to build it will be a balanced 347. My manifold on the passenger side is basically crack itself into. So i am doing a full exhaust with headers ONE time so i want it when i build my motor it will all be right. Doing one at the time.

oh ok.. so you are not building a topfuel dragster, but you are building a 300-400hp engine.

I still think 2.25" tubing will be fine on true duals.

Hi I just bought the flowtech's and they do hang in a annoying spot. I have a 89 302 two wheel drive, and mine hang almost below the trans crossmember. Which is annoying because you have to do some bends immediately, and they show below the truck line. I think it'd be possible to bend up above the crossmember, but I was chopping and cutting exhaust to "redneck" mine in (its a farm truck). And you probably have
6 inches or less to make the transition.

hope this helps your decision
