Default Header plug question.

I have the shorty's. I have over gapped and advanced my timing. Before I did that I didn't put maybe 1,500 miles on my new platinum plugs and they already had white ash on them. I replaced them with copper Autolites. Should I have gotten the Accels since I have shortys? Bear in mind the ones that had the slight white ash buildup where the platinums BEFORE I advanced my timing to 16 degrees.

You guys keep killing me with this spark plug stuff lol. Autolites copper cores are just fine. Accels suck *** in Fords. NGK suck *** in Fords. Autolite and Motorcraft only. Since Autolite make the Motorcraft plugs they work just as well.

Platinums have no effect I do not care what anyone tells you. If I catch you putting Champions in it I will have to come to your house and probie slap you.

why would you want to advance your timing 16 degrees. 12 degrees advanced is the best setting for performance on these motors

Because the best bang for your buck is gap it as far as you can, over volt it a little, and advance it until it pings. Then back it off 2 degrees.
