Yeah, I got that. But "old man's truck" and "nice" are subjective - our opinions of what those mean are not necessarily the same as yours. So I asked what you meant, and nothing you've posted clarifies your intent in a way that would include or exclude steps, rails, or leveling. Even for a Canadian (which should be in your profile).

"As nice as possible" could mean anything. To some people, that means "a new truck". For one of my trucks (the one linked to my signature), it means "ready to drive cross-country towing/hauling camping gear, and to knock down trees at an off-roading event". For my other truck, it means "every conceivable modern gadget added to a perfectly-clean original-looking truck". This one will have power-adjustable pedals/mirrors/seats with memory linked to the RKE, KE keypad on the driver's door, automatic autodimming headlights, heated side mirrors with turn signals & puddle lamps, front & rear parking sensors, radio controls on the illuminated wood/leather steering wheel, heated seats, autodimming rear-view mirror with compass & temperature, 1-touch up&down windows, CB, BlueTooth, and probably TPMS.

What exactly do YOU mean by "as nice as possible"? If you don't know, we can't help you achieve it.

Lose the steps, get some better front springs to pick it up a little, and some 31/10.50's.
Definitely a chrome rear bumper.
Leave the rest alone. It's already a nice truck.

Thanks for the info Steve! So far, no rust on the steps thanks to the mild Oregon winters and no salt on the roads!

I'd change it up, straight up looks like grandpas truck. Level that front end, lose those boards, rims and tires. I like factory rims with adapters, brings the offset out and you can find take offs for reasonable money. Not digging those chrome bed rails but I love chrome boards.
