If you have a voltage tester, check the tps before you replace a good part. I found a youtube video last weekend that shows you how to check it out and replace it on a 302. Mine was bad and took less then an hour to replace. Don't forget the throttle body gasket when you go to replace it!

Have you been able to locate or anyone send you a picture of the test plug wires that came apart? If not, I will try to look at mine once I get home and get back with you. I think it would be a lot easier for us to help you with a diagnosis if we knew the codes.

I used alldata to fix the harness the codes I'm getting are code numbers 12, 21, 41, 33, and 77. Trying to figure out what the are. I got these codes during the timing test.

Code 12: RPM out of spec (extended idle)
Code 21: ECT out of range
Code 41: System lean
Code 33: EVP not closing
Code 77: Goose test input missing

Your EVP sound like a good candidate to try next. This is what indicates the position of the EGR and retards the timing if there isisnt enough flow.

Try www.oldfuelinjection.com . My guess is a bad o2 sensor or vacuum leak. Good luck and let us know!

Well now I just got home and my truck stalled out and won't stay running. If you start it and give it gas it just pops and won't idle up. I know a month ago I had trouble with the distributor and I replaced it with one from a junk yard. I think it might be time to get a new one and try that. Its starting to do the dame thing it did before I replaced it.

Or has a new cap and rotor. I'm thinking the pip on the inside needs replaced and the module on the outside needs to be replaced. I can get the whole set up brand new for $100.
