Take it to a muffler shop & have the cat converter checked for back pressure.

I swapped out my starter and negative battery terminal and that seemed to solve the problem. I also replaced my alternator wiring harness because it caught on fire and I had to ghetto rig the wires that ran to the alternator. One of those 3 fixed the problem, if you do a search on here there are a ton more solutions to it...I think its like a 3 or 4 page thread at one spot.

I probably shouldn't jump to conclusions, but he doesn't strike me as someone that knows an IAC from an EGR or has yet to p/u a Haynes repair manual to be able to locate the components. You right, there's other things it could be if he can locate the potential items in question. The description was a little vague so I just suggested something he could have checked & rule out. If I perception was wrong, my bad! But the Cat should still be checked & ruled out anyway. Normally the first thing to do is error code scans, Manually, https://www.f150forum.com/f10/how-re...es-obdi-10907/ or w/a code reader. http://www.handsontools.com/Equus-In...ol_p_5574.html
