Ya i'm new to the whole forum thing. i got a 90 f150 single cab 8' bed 5.0 liter. I also got a 06' f150 extended cab 6' bed5.4 liter xlt triton . Im wondering if you or anybody knows what I should do bout a blown rod on my 90' f150. I mean would it be better to rebuild it or just by a new motor. And if i bought a new motor where the hell from? any feedback would be great.

I have had good luck with Advance Auto and O'Reilly Auto Parts engines. You will have to pay a core charge because of the blown rod. They offer a 3 yr 75k warranty on some of their engines if I am not mistaken.

I put in an Advance Auto in my pa-in-laws truck. It had one lifter that would not pump up. I went back to the store and told them the problem. They got on the phone with the powers that be. I told them if they give me a set of lifters I would put them in. They opted to give me another engine to put in. They also payed me to put it in at my house. Thats pretty good service if you ask me.
