Got to keep kicking it down
Hey all,
I have a 95 flare side 5.0
The problem is when I drive the truck and come to a stop, and put the clutch in, the rpms stay around 1500 to 2000 rpm
until I kick the gas pedal down then it drops back to 800 rpms.I cleaned the tcm, replaced all air lines, checked for air leaks (starter fluid)there is no mass airflow sensor on this model truck,
also cleaned the throttle body. Truck run great, this is the only thing not working right. Thanks for any help or Ideas

I believe you have an issue with the AIC not functioning properly. Either the solenoid is not working electrically or there is carbon buildup on its pintle or the bore which it resides on the throttle body. I would remove the AIC solenoid to clean and test.
A code scan might help too.

Right
I would also
Check the TP voltage to make sure it comes back down to .8v at idle smoothly.
Check it for an intake leak (the upper plenum gasket used to get brittle, crack and come out)
You unplug that IAC and it should fall on its face and just about die (idle at 550)
1995 has a MAF. I would check that PID with a NGS

I just unplug my IAC ,first time, rpms jump up a little 1000 than dropped back to 800 ish .plugged it back in, idle fine.unplug it again, no change, idle fine ? Not sure how to check the volts on this? Where to go now? I did take off Iac a cleaned it.
