i had a 1979 chevy with the small block 400. i got true dual with glass packs on it and it was LOUD. i love the sound of glasspacks on older trucks but my friend just put a glass pack on his 2002 dodge and it sounds great. i was just wondering what my truck (1991 ford f150 5.8) would sound like with the glasspacks off of my old chevy(Thrush brand). i dont want it to be all crackly like the chevy (giving my ford a "red neck" sound haha). i want more of a nice deep, but still loud tone.

Moving the muffler a little farther back than right out of the cat might give you the sound you are looking for.

 

i currently have a spintech and it is pretty much rigged on (got ahead of myself) haha. but i brought it out the side in front of the tire. would moving it back to its original position make it louder? because i like the sound
