If you already have a 6" lift..your drop radius arm brackets will work with the 78-79 radius arms.
So will your drop pitman arm with the steering.

After your steering is hooked up and the axle is under the truck put the truck down at ride hight and fab up a track bar mount. What you want is your track bar and steering to run at the same angle.

Whats your guys opinion on putting a locker in the front? E-locker? Air locker? Just plain locker? Maybe limited slip?

where does this truck spend most of its time, and when it is off road how crazy do you get with it?my guess is you could get away with leaving it open, but i wouldnt go more than a LS setup, unless you can afford the Elocker, then that would be the way to go.

If your going to spend the money do the E locker or air locker! Having a open front diff for everyday driving is nice and on the trail when traction isn't an issue but your still in 4x4 you will be able to turn/steer easier. Then when the extra traction is needed just flip the switch!

I have open diffs now and I hate it! Having the selectable locker would be a nice thing, but how does the LS do offroad?

A limited slip is never a replacement for a locker. But is an upgrade over a open diff. If it was me I would put a mechanical locker in the rear (cause there cheap) and A selectable locker up front.

I have a ls in front, in slippery or loose ground it plows the front wheels, but you can just poke the throttle, and it goes where its pointed, you can't come off the trail and leave the hubs locked, the steering pulls in 2wd with the hubs locked.
It s not bad really, the other things I can think of, you can climb into places you couldn't before, like places where the truck falls over,
And you can spin the clutch easier than the tires, I have really no complaints, best junkyard score ever.
