Hey, my first post on here. Just recently bought my '95 reg cab reg bed 302efi truck. I use my truck alot for hauling and towingg so I was looking at cams made for towing on Summit. W/o doing alot of other mods am I looking at a noticeable difference w/ just a cam and maybe headers? I've already got dual exhaust on the truck, w/ no cat.

Edelbrock has some really good stuff specifically made for the truck 5.0L engine.

This link is for performance intakes for the existing fuel injection system.

Edlebrock has cam's, headers, exhaust systems, cold air induction systems.

http://www.torquemonsterheaders.com/

These people make some nice headers, for a 302, not sure how well they will fit in an F150, but worth checking into

Remember a good intake needs good exhaust, cant flow well if choked or restricted on either end

Ouch!!!

Not flaming ya man, but those header seem a bit pricey, IMO.
$789 regular price and $689 with discount... Man for that much could get a set of long tubes and have a true dual system made.

Free flow mufflers and gears is the quickest and cheapest way to experience power. .........never fear the gear........

alright. ive got a f150 with the 5.0. stock i was running low 11's in the 1/8th. i put a drop in k&n thats old and beat up cause i got it out of an old truck, bbk underdrive pulleys and cut off the pipe behind the cat and just ran pipe out the back and lowered it 3/5 and im running 10.3's all day long WITH a cracked passenger side manifold. for christmas i got long tubes with a blowmaster 40 series and im more than likely gonna be breakin 10's. as soon as i get some more money, im throwin in a crank with a little more lift, replacing the 3.55's in it now with some 4.10's and lockin it with a 10" wide tire in the back because i have traction problems as it is right now, and ill be killin sports cars in no time.

but think about this, new intake, not intake manifold, just intake and a new exhaust and you'll be able to feel a difference. trust me, i did it. your getting good flow in, and good flow out. and that myth about underdrive pulleys making your truck over heat... BS. i mean, it will if you let it sit there with the A/C on for 10-15 minutes at idle, but highway speeds... it STOPPED my over heating problems on the highway. and it took me about 30 minutes to install them. if you want a lot of power with and dont mind spending a little $$ and have some knowledge about cars... crank and gears on top of all that FTW. but gears will make highway speeds tougher on your engine too.

^^sorry that was so long... lol

Yeah, I'm not scared of gears but I do alot of highway driving as well, alot of my towing is on the highway so I'm looking for more power there as well, without driving at 5,000rpm all the time. I can just drive with the overdrive off all the time if I wanted that. I've got a K&N filter on it already, probably will open up the intake more as time goes on. I've got a dual exhaust on it with absolutely no mufflers at all. I live in a open smog state. Doesn't matter if you've got any emissions equipment on your vehicle or not. Just hoping I can get more than the stock 180's out of the motor.
