Default getting an 88

New here. Looks like I'm getting a 1988 f150 Lariat this week. Still have to iron out the details, but we've reached an agreement and he's getting together all the paperwork to finalize the deal.

302, 4x4, recently rebuilt tranny, previously rebuilt top end (not sure exactly when though), dual exhaust, yada yada yada. Drive train seemed very strong, 4x4 worked great. Of course what would a 1980s truck be without its quirks and little issues, but finding and fixing those is half the fun right?

I'll get some pics up when its official, but in the meantime what should I be prepared for and plan on working on other than the obvious things already causing issues?.

Find out if any recalls are needed, and then get them done. You don't want your project to catch fire!
