How can i tell what gear ratio i have without actually taken the rearend apart? I know its geared pretty low.

 

18- 3.08 non L/S
19- 3.55 non L/S
H9- 3.55 L/S

Or jack up the rear end and rotate the tire 1 full revolution. Count how many times the driveshaft goes around. It will get you close. approximately 3x is probably a 3.08:1, Approx 3-1/2 turns probably means 3.55:1. It will get you close.

 

if its an open dif wont the driveshaft not turn?

 

I found an 18 in the door jam where it says axle so does that mean its 3.08:1?
