Default gastank

i have a 1987 f150 ford truck and i have a dual gastanks and my front one stays way pass full and dont want to read how much i got i did find a black wire broke would that be what is wrong?

you don't want to read what?

the float arm on your internal pump is stuck at the top of the tank...start there.
