Default gas tanks

ok i got an 87 f150 I6 with dual tanks and my front tank has rusted thew but my back tank is still good now i was wondering till i get enough money to replace the front tank can i just use the 2nd back tank my concern is the return line i cant see if thers 1 for the front and 1 for the back? and my buddy just told me to put jbweld wer the tank has the leak that seems kinda iffy scince the tank hold 20 gallons and i dont wana lose all my gas again

yes both tanks do have their own return line. so you can go ahead and use the back one.

might try using JB-Weld on the tank...we did one with the stronger stuff but I cant remember the name of the stuff but it did work...

my back tank rusted and I have used just the front tank since I got the truck...

I just replaced my rear tank, it had been out of comission for a good 5 + years so as long as you dont flip that switch your fine.

My dad bought a Falcon when he was 17. After driving it for a few months, he noticed a piece of gum stuck to the tank while doing some maintenance. He pulled the gum off, and the tank immediately began to drip fuel. Put the gum back in place and drove it for another year. At least that's how he tells it, lol.
