Default fuel system question

got my truck back from firestone and the said i need to flush my brake system cuz i got 200ppm copper and i need a fuel system tune up with EK-10T fuel system cleaner. i really don't like having shops work on my pickup so i'd like to ask what is it, where can i get it, and how does it work? also curious as to what a brake fluid exchange entitles if anything other than simply bleeding all fluid out of brakes and refilling and rebleeding them.

Thanks

1 fuel system cleaner use a majer brand gas and you shouldnt need it. there are several brands at the parts store that you just pour in the tank if you think it will help it wont hurt any thing but your wallet.2 It is agood idea to flush brake system every 3 to 4 years this is best done best by bleeding the system with a pressure bleeder. You can buy one for around $50 or you can have a shop do it for around$50. or if your the type that trades every 5 or so years dont worry about it

it wouldnt hurt to bleed the brakes every so often to rid of air bubbles,i should do that as well since mines a 92.Also,my fuel injectors are clogged, least one of them.Ive been putting in "fuel injector and carberator treatment" fluid over the past few weeks. It comes in a small little white or black container.autozone, oreilys, family dollar or dollar general sell them. They're only like $2.50 a piece.I chose the black container,it has more fluid ounces than than the white one plus its more concentrated.Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. One of them is still clogged up,my fuel injectors.

if you've having fuel system issues, start with the easier and wayyyy less expensive things like changing your fuel filter first. Here's some friendly and very improtant adivce ok,IF you're fuel system is clogged up,whatever you do DONT bang on that filter to unjam/unclog it! it may seemmmm like a good idea, but dont because whatever build up is released from your filter will travel on down that hose right into your fuel injector, which is the issue im having now because my father tapped/banged on that filter to release all that resin few weeks ago.

best of luck!

You can try spraying Aerokroil, PB Blaster, etc in to help free up the retaining clips. Worst case, if you damage it on removal they are replaceable. Dorman 800-017 is about $5 and includes six clips in two sizes.

my suggestions is to keep at it,keep tugging away.Eventually it'll come off.My advice is to push that plastic piece as far into that hose as you can while pulling that hose towards you at the same time.It helps bring them both together, making it easier for disengaging them al together. That's how I roll!

I did that trick while taking off the 2 hoses that connect to the fuel pump. The blue hose took less than 30 seconds and the white one took less than a min while trying my manuver! takes practice.
