Default Fuel system problems, HELP!

I have a 93 2wd F150, 5.0 AOD, with dual fuel tanks. when you turn the ignition on, you can hear the fuel pump constantly running, will not turn off after a few seconds and you can hear the injectors on the motor, it sounds like they are dumping fuel into the motor when it is not running. I checked the oil and there is gas in it. the truck will start when it is cold but dies after about 30 seconds. the exhaust smells like straight gas. What are some things that could be wrong here? any help is appreciated.

what are the symptoms of a fuel pressure regulator? I tested the pressure and it was off the gauge, which goes up to 150psi. I checked it with just the ignition on...

take the vacuum hose off of your fuel pressure regulator.... if gas comes out of the vacuum hose or the regulator itself, then you have a bad regulator.... hope this helps
