Fuel Regulator Problem
Ok heres the situation i have a 460 that was converted from efi to carbed. bought it drove it around for a while went to start it the next morning and it starts at about 3000 rpm revving like crazy looked under the hood the pressure gauge is broke i figured the stock fuel pump pushes around 40 psi and the carb should run around 6-8 psi and the regulator cant handle it? i think i found two options
1) add a holley 12803bp bypass regulator before the final regulator and then it will be able to bring the psi down enough?
2) heard rumors of an inline fuel pump and then no regulator needs to be used (inline fuel pump rated for 6-8 psi)
although the gauge is broken when the truck was started the carb was leaking gasoline on the top through the vents supposedly due to to much pressure and it went right past the needle?
any suggestions? thanks
