I have a F150 4.9 xlt with what I think is a intermittent fuel pump relay problem. Can anyone tell me if a relay can have an intermittent problem? I have a new fuel pump and ignition switch.

 

It is possible but unlikely,relays usually work or dont work,what is your problem exactly?

 

The other day I went to start my truck and it would not start. I was getting spark. I could not here the fuel pump turn on. I had my brother put his hand on the fuel pump relay and he could not feel or hear it click. And yesterday I got in it and it started. I could here the fuel pump and I could here the relay click. Have any ideas on what's wrong?
