I know all about "you get what you pay for". But, when the time comes, not gonna pay $300 or more for the Motorcraft.

What brands have you had good service from? What brands to avoid?

 

Walbro is supposed to be an oem supplier. I think you have to order from them directly.

I replaced the front on my 96 with a Carter so far I'm impressed. Just ordered Carter front and rear full assemblies for the '87. Time will tell.

 

Do you guys know if Walbro and Carter are USA made?

 

I see a lot of people saying that Carter is USA made, I don't actually see Carter claiming that on their website. Sales pitch:

 

I installed a Denso fuel pump from Amazon. It was made in the U.S.A and cost $108. My truck is a 1996 F150 short bed, aft axle single tank.

 

Just got my Carters & they say on the box; Made in USA

 

denso and delphi are both good.

 

Does anyone know anything about the quality of the Spectra Premium fuel pump? Rock Auto offers the new tank and the entire assembly for an attractive price, but I am not sure about the fuel pump and I only want to do this once......thanks.
