Default fuel problems

i have a 1995 ford f150. and its having fuel problems i have two tanks and the front is going out so i have been running the back with no problems until now. today i was pull out of a parking lot and the whole truck just shut off. and it almost did the same thing until i gave it some gas. i changed the fuel filter less then 3 weeks ago.could it be a bad relay?

Pull codes, borrow a fuel pressure tester from auto parts store. It's not uncommon for pumps to fail @ 20yrs old, especially if the rear didn't get used as often and is now being used all of the time. Could be anything without some investigation and testing.

Also if the front tank is going, the check valve could be shot, which would let the tanks crossfill and not let the rear tank develop pressure.
A fuel pressure tester like fltdriver said is a good place to start
