Did a rough cylinder balance test. Cylinder 3 had no drop in rpm. I wish it would have been on the other side. Much easier to get to. I also have a code for bank 1 lean condition

The injectors fail on a regular basis
I would start interrogating the injectors starting with the one in cylinder 3
Monitor the fuel pressure while you manually fire the #3 injector
I think you will find it will not click and will not be dropping the fuel pressure when activated
I buy sets of Motorcraft injectors from China
I have gotten a few bad ones, but my truck currently runs on 7 of them and one original injector
I used to get injectors 4 at a time from the junkyard, I test them on my spare fuel rail using injector cleaner
Fun stuff
Good luck

So do the coils, they fail once in a while
Before doing anything else, I'd swap the # 3 coil with another that is easy to get to
See if the miss travels to the cylinder, you just put the #3 coil in
That would mean you have a no good ignition coil

thanks for the info. Are you referring to the #3 wire? The truck only has one coil and it was just replaced. I suspect it is the injector or injector wire. Unfortunately with it being on bank 1 they are impossible to get to without removing the upper intake.

I must have been thinking of a newer year truck with coil on plug
Now, knowing that I'd swap or test the injector
You might want to check the ohms on the #3 wire (should be roughly 7500 ohms per foot)
