Aren't Escort timing belts fun? Did it throw/ eat it, or were you just bored? Fellow "E" owner.

Belt was actually fine, I would be rich if I got a penny for all the bad words I said, and 6 bolts to hold the accessory mount I think is a little overkill, I was told by my mechanic neighbor that it was the timing belt from the way it was cranking and not starting, but he was wrong, the belt was ok, the car cranks, when it does run it feels like it is starving, it is not ignition, I blew the filter out and that is ok, but like I said there is no pressure at the valve before the regulator. So I figure its the pump, the car has 125,000. So I am going to pull the tank.

And do error code scans!!! It's the same drill, different vehicle! If you have a reader & it's pre 96' It'll work, otherwise, manual method. I'm surprised you didn't check F/P at rail & E/C's first. Shame on you! Well, you've already got your spankin by replacing the timing belt unnecessarily, so I'll shut up. That's a b!tch & a half by itself.

You are ahead of me in the mechanics world but I've blown thru fuel filters before and they still be bad, probably not your problem but just an FYI. Since it's an easy and cheap item maybe you should just replace it if you haven't already?

Rich, flooded, pressure above normal, sometimes gas in it's Vac line.

No active codes or no codes (you should at least get #11 or #111)? No start, no active KOEO codes/ hard to believe!
You did all the #1 TDC on compression stroke/ match the hash marks stuff? No dist. to go by.
