Default Fuel lines

Noob to the site... I never really found an answer to my question. Maybe I missed it.

Can the stock 5/16 fuel lines move the fuel I need or are they to small/restricting? Long story short I can't get past about 35psi and am running lean. I'm thinking the lines are too small or the stock style fuel filter might be the problem. Any insight out there?

93 f150 347 w/dual tanks, 255lph walbro, 36lbs injectors, TrickFlow/Aeromotive rails and regulator.

Sounds like there been a lot of engine mods done to this truck. Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak somewhere?

Yes, lots of mods. I'm not finding any vacuum leaks. Either way when I disconnect the vacuum line to the regulator in order to adjust it. I still can't get it to break mid 30s PSI.

Either the regulator. Blockage restriction or low pump out. Im a 4.9 guy bit I think that pressure is norm for an 8. I would just wonder if it always had that pressure or is it a new development and did you check for codes. How do you lnow its lean?

The lines are clear blew the out and can see light coming through them. Voltage to the pump is good. Regulator is new so for the moment I'm assuming it's good. So it point me back to the stock style fuel filter and lines or the combination of the two. I have a air/fuel meter running on the truck. I've had it at 43 psi before. Which is what the 8s run around. No codes that pertain to the problem.

BTW... I had it running at 43psi. With the stock pump, fuel filter, rails, and a BBK regulator.

Wonder why it went from 43 down to 35? You we're getting 43 out of the existing plumbing. Maybe the filters plugged up?

Put on a brand new filter.
I was getting that psi before. But I wasn't moving as much fuel as I am now. So I have theories but they can be expensive to trial and error.

1. The stock style filter can't move that much fuel through it.

Solution: change the filter... I have a Aeromotive filter to put on but the adapters to put it on the stock quick connects will cost me about $100. Quick and easy fix.

If I'm wrong wasted $100 on adapters and have to do the lines.

2. The stock 5/16 lines can't move the fuel needed.

Solution: Redo the lines. Might not cost as much... might. I have a lot of the stuff to redo them, but it will be Slow and painful.

Downfall is it could have been the filter all along and I just wasted a lot of time/work and possibly $$$. It could have been a simpler solution, maybe even cheaper.

Not sure if that thought process made sense. Hahaha!!!
