Default Fuel Line Question

I was changing out my fuel filter today and damaged the hose. I didn't realize that the connectors on the hose were actually connected together and the rubber hose was just over it. I broke one of the connectors but was able get them both out. Is here any reason why I could not just put the connectors into a piece of rubber FI fuel line and worm gar clamp them just to be safe? I know they are barbed but I would like the extra clamp. Thanks. Jim

I have done that. Use SAE 30R9 fuel injection hose and a clamp designed for fuel injection. Worm clamps are not the ones to use.

You don't need clamps if you use the correct tubing.

Using ANY OTHER tube or hose is just asking for a vehicle fire.

Thank you. I will go that route. Jim
