Front Tank Trouble
I have a 94 F150 4.9L, And its a great strong running truck when I have it switched to the rear tank... When I have it set on the front tank I Have to turn it over 2 and three times tp get it to crank where on the rear tank I turn it over once and it fires right up... If the gas stayed in the rear tank ilI'd be fine but the gas in the rear tank is pumped through the front tank so all of my gas ends up in the front tank anyway... Also when its set on the front tank I experience loss of torque and power and I get terrible gas mileage... I literally just did a full tune up on my truck and nothing has changed, This is the only problem I have with my truck I just cant pinpoint the cause so I can get it back running strong on both tanks

I would say you have a bad pump in the front tank.

Sounds like the anti backflow valve is sticking open in the front allowing the fuel to be transfered, lack of power might be from the front pump outlets being clogged, starving the engine, happened on my truck, eventually got a new pump assembly off ebay for about $38.00, mileage no idea unless the engine is laboring so much it is taking more to give it power.
