Default front hub lock ring

alright so im working on my cousins front brakes due to his tire "issue" he had a couple weeks ago that i told yall about and im taking the manual hub off to replace the rotor. Im now to the how the fudgeballs do i get that darn clip out stage. i do believe ive tryed every screwdriver on this farm and ive decided that im gonna need a pick or 2 to get it, unless you guys have any tricks

If you're talking about the round ring expanding against the hub - yep, it's a bite in the shorts to get out.

A pick works. I've also used one of those mini flat blade screwdrivers like are used for electronics or jewelry. Just have to get it pulled away enough so you can stick something stouter in there before prying it out.

i was planning on getting a pick set for school anyways so i think ill invest in that idea then
