I've been searching on the forum and haven't found an answer yet.

I have a 92 extended 2wd.

When I go over bumps or hit decent sized pot holes it feels the front is going to come off. I get a loud bang and a large jolt.

Any thoughts?

 

something is catching something when it flexes i guess. have you looked under there to see if anything looks out of place? just a thought, i know someone else here knows more about the damn ttb than me.

 

check all your bushings, ball joints, etc. Any part that wears out in the front end.
