Default Frame Damage

The body can rust, you can repair it. the windows can crack, you can replace them. the tires go bald, you can replace them. You bend and crack your frame....your just about screwed.
So had my truck up on a lift today to look over the front to fix my coil spring/sagging problem. only to notice a Large Chunk of my frame...missing. and a nice crack as well. 4" back from the front bumper on the driver side.
Depressing. All of the work, time, money spent and now i can get a sticker!
Well iv got a plan.
Take everything off my frame (body & ect) and put it onto another frame. Be good experience and give me a chance to fix ALL my rust issues and replace alot of over due parts (body mounts, ect) now iv just got to decide to swap it onto another F150 or F250 hmmm.

its good you caught the frame issue before anything bad happened like a wreck or some mechanical failure. good luck finding another frame. When ole blue is resurrected , let us know.

Is it your avatar truck? Mine is an 85 and is also not in so good condition. It sat in my Brother-in-Law's drive for a couple of years and then in mine for another year before I got it running again. Amazing how much rust appears when they set too long. Mine still only has 83k on the ticker, but the frame will go before it ever dies. I have been fighting being unemployed for the past 2 years off and on (more off than on) so I don't have money to buy another vehicle right now...hoping it lasts. Good luck with yours.

I could, but i would have to hide it well. due to Maine State laws dont allow frame repair unless done by a dealer or big garage. its stupid but something i dont have to much control over.
