ford or dodge
I know this is a ford site but my 95 f150 has a 205k, runs good but the body is rusting out pretty bad.
My brother wants to sell me his 95 dodge ram 2500 v10 with less then 70k original miles for 2200 just needs rear brake lines
Truck is a complete workhorse and gets around 13mpg and my truck is around 8.5. Just a great price and reliable truck, just seems like a logical thing to do what's your guys opinion

actually 13mpg is pretty good on the 8.0L considering mixed driving is 16 mpg. We had the 95 2500 for roofing, but two transmissions later the owner parked the truck, I found the 4spd very underpowered for the 8.0L but worked just fine on the 99 1500. Then we upgraded to a 03 F250 with a Powerstroke 7.3L and took allot of pressure off the 1500 with the 318 hauling 2 tons of shingles.

I dont care what you think of the body or mpgs your ford will probably go another 220k miles that dodge on the other hand not as much. you could always sell the dodge and buy another ford! Ford > Dodge

Compared to the Ford 6.8L V10 which was riddled with head problems, the Dodge 8.0L was modeled after the Viper V10. I believe this was also one the first Chrysler engines to have a returnless fuel injection system and a DIS ignition, way ahead of its time.
