When I wired them onto my ranger I ran them so they came on with the corner lights. But I don't know how many volts that put out. But if you wanted to run them straight from the battery just wire in a cheap switch to the dash. I had a mustang lx and bought a gt fog light setup and it was plug and play because even though fog lights didnt come on the lx, the wiring harness still had the plug for them. So the f150 might too, I dunno about that though.

well when i first got my truck, i noticed that some dummy drilled holes in the air dam (plastic piece on the bottom of the front bumper) and mounted the fog lights there.... the first thing i did to that truck was take the fog lights off.... it isn't something that "I" would do, but it works.... you may like it, but i didn't....

There should be holes drilled into the bottom of the bumper from the factory, you could mount the lights there.
