Flowmaster 40 series
Can I install a muffler on my stock exhaust pipe and gain some deeper tone ? Or do i have to buy a whole new system ?
I was planning on cutting my pipe just infront of my rear axle and installing the muffler
Sorry for the dumb question, I couldn't find any info online about it.
thanks

yea just my $.02, but i absolutely hate glass packs and straight pipes, the raspy popping sound is terrible, go to youtube and just search, "f150 5.0 exhuast", there is all kinds of examples
if you wanted to do it on the cheap you could put the muffler in and cut the stock tailpipe where it bends over the axle, turn it 90 deg, and exit it before the axle, i have a super 44 on mine with SI/DO and had dual tailpipes custom bent, cost $150 for the tailpipes plus the cost of the muffler, its got great sound but isn't loud and obnoxious, i think im gonna delete the cat to wake it up some

And I'm not sure exactly what this guy has but man it sounds good
the decription below the vid says its a flowmaster Delta 40, single inlet, dual outlet, i didn't listen to it, (don't have sound right now) but it also says it has a cut out which would also make it a straight pipe when open
My glasspacks are only raspy when the engines cold, and that's just barely. Most of the time however they don't pop at all, I suggest them 100% over a flowmaster orig 40. I don't have any cats tho if that affects poppin any idk, also mine are true duals not just a glasspack welded into place.
