-whats the transfer case like?any way to have it converted to a manual shift is there a decent one i can find to fit it that will be a good donor for manual shift?

What Code is the Transmission?
Look on the bottom of the Drivers side door-jamb Data Plate for the Code.
Post the Transmission Code and someone will respond.

Does the Electronic Shift Transfer Case (Push Button) still work?
(Borg Warner 13-56 Transfer Case or BW 13-56)
If it does, why fix, if it's not broken?

If not engaging 4WD, when you need it, I understand...

Swapping to a Manual Shifter would be a lot easier than
converting to the Electronic Shift Transfer Case System.

I don't know for sure, but you should be able to keep the Transfer Case you have now and install the Shift Lever Control Assembly on the transfer case and in the floor.
Some 1987-96 F-Series trucks have a floor plate that unbolts;
with
and without the hole for the shifter.

Have you purchased a Repair Manual yet?
Haynes Repair Manual # 36058
This manual is for 1980-96 Ford Pick-ups & Bronco and have some pictures and write ups; based on actual 1980-96 Ford Truck tear-down and rebuild. (Less than $20.00) Check on eBay or an Auto Parts Store.

Welcome to the site, we do not get paid, there is just a bunch of 1987-96 F-150 Owners on here everyday to help each other out!

Google www.LMCTRUCK.com for a free parts catalog.
