Default firing order....

Hey guys just a quick question. I have a 1993 f150 5.0 302. The firing order for the 93 and lower is the same, but for 94 and up the 302 uses the 351 firing order. However, when I went to do plugs and wires yesterday I noticed that it was wired for the 351 firing order. Any ideas why? I doubt this engine was swapped. Maybe this started for the late year 93 models???

The Windsor firing order on a 302 denotes an HO style engine. It's no big deal but can sometimes be a headache since the truck will start and run using either firing order.

I thought about that regarding the Ho engine, but I don't think it is. The plenum says 5.0, but I know those can get swapped. The Haynes manual says that all firing order of 302 went to the 351 firing order. Were all 302's after 1993 HO's? Would that mean that they are roller cam? How can you tell if you have a HO?

I thought 5.0's went roller cam in trucks in '92. Not sure on that though. Are you sure your truck is actually a '93, rather than an early production '94?
