The detonation has been driving me crazy.. Tired about every sensor there is and never could run anythign lower than 93 octane. Finally decided to swap out the fuel pump in the rear tank,, and what you know?? The pinging stopped.. So while tank was low put $10 worth of 89 octane to see what would happen. Never detonated once,, so I figured I would give 87 a try. SO today I put $20 worth of 87 octane in and it never made a sound...

Now I need to get motivated to swap front pump out... Might actually use it if I can run 87 octane in it..

 

Wow,never heard of a fuel pump stopping detonation before anythings possible i guess,good luck on the front pump.

 

The pump has been working fine but would get loud when the tank would get down to a 1/4. Thought what the heck,, tried everything else, might as well swap it.
