Default A few questions?

A few questions,

1)On the thermactor air injection pump system, which valve is the TAB (bypass) and which is the TAD (diverter) valve on the vehicle, I may have the two vacuum lines switched from not labeling them?

2)If I can pull a vacuum through the EGR solenoid valve, is there anyway to repair it or does it need to be replaced?

3)Pulled DTC's 172 & 173 O2 too rich, O2 too lean codes before clearing them. Smells very rich on open loop, nostrils burning. IAT and ECT sensors have been replaced. MAP is original. What would cause it to run so rich?

4)Cold fast idle was acting up and would not disengage after pumping the accelerator pedal. Pulled IAC with it still connected, IAC ports plugged and running. I do not see the valve moving at all, even after cleaning it. The IAC is original, is there any way to test it easily?

The vacuum line to the EGR is plugged at the moment and the engine has no vacuum leaks.

The TAB solenoid vacuum line is going to the valve on the side and TAD is connected to the valve behind the intake manifold.

The TAB is the very back one closest to the fire wall. The TAD is the one in between the TAB and the EGR solenoid. I don't think there is a way to fix the soleniod to my knowledge.

Okay, i'll switch the vacuum lines to see if that takes care of KOER DTC 311 "Thermactor air system inoperative and find out if any other problems are related.

My question now is if the IAC is working properly, would you be able to see it moving smoothly still attached to the harness while the engine is running?

Go for a drive to warm up your truck and then park it(leave it running) open the hood then unplug the IAC. If the engine stalls or stumbles you have a bad IAC.
