And you have to watch out for spark plugs popping out of the heads. Ford messed up that design badly... My friend had the v10 and one ejected as he was leaving my house. A year later I bought a 2001 with the 5.4, and within 2 months it ejected one out when I was heading to work. They both had just a little over 100k miles on them, so someone might have already tackled that problem

Lol you know that the 6.8 is a gas engine right?
It may get slightly better but i wouldn't bet too much, and like what was mentioned i also heard heads were defective at one point on these engines.
