Damn I wish it was like that here. I would jump on the 7.3 that wanted to trade for mine. Gas is 2.99 and diesel is like 3.70? Here

Ya it jumps up and down everyday, but Ive hardly ever seen it above gas price, but if you aren't pleased with the mileage out of your 5.0 then a 6.8 is really gonna kick you in the wallet

220k miles is a baby diesel vs gramps for a gasser. Maybe not that bad, but its up there for a gas truck...

And you have to watch out for spark plugs popping out of the heads. Ford messed up that design badly... My friend had the v10 and one ejected as he was leaving my house. A year later I bought a 2001 with the 5.4, and within 2 months it ejected one out when I was heading to work. They both had just a little over 100k miles on them, so someone might have already tackled that problem

Lol you know that the 6.8 is a gas engine right? It may get slightly better but i wouldn't bet too much, and like what was mentioned i also heard heads were defective at one point on these engines.
