Default f150 steering column play

Got 94 f150 4x4. Recently replaced all steering components including gear box and still have about a inch of play in the wheel. If i lock the steering wheel I can turn it about an inch or so before it stops. Idk if its bad bearings or what. The column is tight and no side to side or up and down movement. Just can turn the wheel inch or so and would really like to get that play out.

if that^^^^ doesn't work, there is an adjuster screw on the steering box that has an Allen head if your bring it in a little it should make your steering tighter, but be careful cause if you go too far it can bind up the gears in the box and then you will end up buying a new one, but try it and take er for a drive and see if its better but if it seems too tight then or there is a bunch of resistance than loosen it up a little bit
