Default f150 rear ends

I have a 1992 ford f150 4x4 xlt with I believe an 8.8 rear end. I was wondering if I would be able to take the rear end out of a similar model year f250 or f350 and throw it in my truck. would it bolt right up or would I have to have some fabrication and what not done to it.
if any one knows, please help
thanks.

You do have a 8.8 rear end. And while you can bolt up the other axles with some work, the problem is with an F250 or F350 axle is now you will have 2 different bolt patterns for wheels and a much heavier axle to lug around, plus you would have to find one the same gear ratio as the front axle.

what he said, also the wheels are different sizes so you will have to find either a 8 lug 15" rim or a 5 lug 16" rim.
