F150 Airbag code 22 help
Truck is a 1994 F-150 XL, with no options (not even radio). My airbag light is flashing two, then two, so a code 22. I've looked online and found that it sounds like a short in the airbag sensor, but I can't really find how to check or fix it. I'm pretty sure it only has the drivers side airbag. Haven't done any work on the truck recently to pinch a cable or mess anything up.

The common cause for a fault in the driver's airbag circuit is the clock spring failing. AFAIK, replacements are NOT available, but I've read about people repairing them.

My preference is to swap in a later column with more features, for which clock springs ARE still available.
