experience is good =)
not really a question for you guys but funny experience =p
Yesterday i take my truck down to my buddies to put all new brake pads in. They really needed done and my friend has full shop/tools so took it down there. Anyways we change the rear pads + all new hardware, then lower down the rear and put e-brake on slightly + blocks and raise the front. Put new pads on front, everythings going good but then we broke his torque wrench so we tighten them as best we can and decide to go to the Kal-tire in town that he works at 2 get torqued up. Brakes were a bit grabby but figured they where just wearing in, we get to Kal-tire which was like 25min down highway. We go inside 2 look at tires and one of his co-workers goes out to torque tires, comes back laughing saying there on fire.
Anyways turns out we left the e-brake on slightly and never noticed the billows of smoke coming from rear like a chimney. Couldn't even touch the rim was almost glowing red. 30mins and a bucket of water for it 2 cool off and all the new hardware and pads were fried. My Drums are sut black haha so buying new pads again next weekend
lesson learned.
