Default Exhaust Question

So my tailpipe rusted through on the final bend where the hangar was. So I hack sawed the bend off and now it just dumps straight back behind the rear axle. I put a new exhaust hangar in to support the pipe/muffler.

(Also replaced a worn hangar before the muffler and patch a hole there as well while I was under there...)

Is there anything bad about this not having the final bend to put it out the passenger side behind the tire?

It doesn't seem to make a sound difference. (except is it quieter after I patched the hole before the muffler)
