Default Exhaust manifold ?

I need to remove the rear exhaust manifold from my 87 f150 4.9. Exhaust manifold gasket was recently replaced by the previous owner but the egr tube is leaking and needs to be welded. Can the exhaust manifold be removed and leave the intake manifold in place? Thanks

ps bad idea? reason I ask is that it looks like the bolts are readily accessible but of course I worry about future exhaust leaks.

I've never seen it done that way so my GUESS is no. And I'm stressing on guess. If you do it, let us know.

Why would you pull the manifold if only the EGR tube needs repair?

This is the kind of crap I'm dealing with. The tube wouldn't have come off without a torch. I can still press 300lbs. To answer my question, no you can not do the exhaust manifold without taking off the intake. I could have maybe gotten away with just getting the rear off and allowing the front bolts on the intake to hold it in place. The bolts were fairly loose and definitely not torqued. So, no... You can't remove the exhaust manifold without removing the intake first. When you do the job it's pretty straightforward.
