Default Exhaust help

My 91 f150 302 has to catalytic converters on it. Can I cut the second one off without having any problems? And will it make my truck louder?

What ate the emissions in your state? Does it have a o2 sensor after the second cat?

You have to cut both otherwise you're confusing the O2 sensor. It will sound like an aggressive tractor. People heard me coming literary a mile away!

The o2 sensor goes into the cat closest to the engine

Your 91 only has one O2 Sensor - it is forward of the first converter.
In most states it is not legal to remove a functioning emmision devise from a vehicle that is operated on public roads. However the removal of the aft cat will not hurt the operation of the engine. It could increase the exhaus noise and the reduction in backpressure could increase the mileage depending on how you drive it.

do a Goggle search for:
Walker Exhaust: Part Number 15742
A number of the links have a good picture of the part. This is a 49 state legal replacement for the factory dual cat system and offers a number of advantages - Unfortunately I have been unabel to find the headpipe for sale by itself.....
