Unhappy Exhaust Help!

Hello. I have a '93 F150XLT 4x4 with a 5.0L and a A40d tranny. I am wanting to run long tube headers with true duels all the way back but I don't think I can do it. I was under it today and it seems as though my transfer case will be in the way of my piping. If I go under the transfer case it would be too low and probably get ripped of during the winter. If anyone has any suggestions it would be great. I want a good sound from it and I was thinking of just going with a Y connection going to the headers into one pipe going back, then splitting it with another Y at the back into duels. But I've seen that done before and the exhaust/noise isn't coming out of both pipes evenly. If anyone could help me, Thanks!

I was thinking the same way until I crawled under mine. I have decided to go with the shorty headers and cut the exhaust just before the front cat. This gives me a place to put the 02 sensor and still have the room for duals running where the factory pipe runs.
