Default Equus 4977

Does anyone have one of these? I just got it, followed the directions and nothing on the code reader.

It says, with the 4.9L depress the clutch and turn the key on, then hold it for a minute, turn the code reader on and wait for the codes. I did this and nothing. In the manual it says I there should be ''T00'' (The "T" is on the top right of the screen on the code reader) (But I see"000" and then after a minute or so, there should be a flashing Triangle. I wait about 2 minutes before I turn the code reader on, with the clutch pressed in and then waited another 5 minutes for the codes to be sent and read. Nothing.

The code reader ymeski posts on handsontools.com is the Equus 3145.

Any help and tips to get this thing to work would be great!

Also, only my "Engine" light is lit. (The yellow light) but my "Check Engine" light only lights when I first turn the key ON. I bought it used. I replaced the batteries and reset the reader after the first try. Still nothing.

They aren't open on the weekends. Only Mon-Fri, which is why I came on here to see if I could get someone with experience with this thing. Google didn't prove to be useful.
