Default Engine Swap & O2 sensor questions

Hey guys I have a 1996 F-150 with a TIRED 5.0L : /. I purchased a 5.8L that was supposed to be out of a F-150, the motor was complete with harness NO computer. The numbers on the 5.8 indicated it was a 1995.

Today I was cleaning the wiring harness for the 5.8L and comparing it to the old 5.0L. First major difference I realized was the 5.0L has two oxygen sensors and the 5.8L only has one on the passenger side manifold. I then checked the main plug of the harness (the one that has a long screw holding it together) to see if they interchanged. The pin configurations are different, as to be expected.

I was under the impression that the truck 5.0L had the HO firing order which is the same on the 5.8L. So I was thinking the computer would work as long as I got it wired right. Is that correct? Or do I need to go get an actual 5.8L computer and pull the rest of the harness so that it will hook up to my 5.8L harness retaining the single oxygen sensor setup.

Or should I convert it over to the 5.0L spec with two oxygen sensors?

Any Help or input would be great!

Here's a pic of the 5.8L

Default 5.0 / 5.8 swap.

I want to replace the 5.0 in my 1996 F-150 (4x4 & E4OD) with a 1995 5.8 out of a truck. What has to be done to convert a 95 5.8 from BAF to MAF? I have read so much I am completely confused and banging my head againist the wall. Help.
